AgInsure's innovative approach to multi-peril insurance was developed in the 1990s by David Blackett when he was designing revolutionary crop insurance products for GIO Australia as the Agricultural Underwriting Manager. He has been championing multi-peril insurance for the past 20 years.
David has now been joined by two other experienced insurance professionals. As a team they share a long-standing commitment to Australia's rural sector and, having gained their experience working with some of Australia's best known financial services brands, know there is a much better way to provide general insurance to Australia farmers.
This unique experience has given AgInsure insight into the nature of the risks farmers face, and how they can be best protected by insurance. It has helped us design policy options that give farmers peace of mind at reasonable cost.
David Blackett – Managing Director
David has more than 40 years' insurance experience, the past 30 years specialising in agricultural insurance. He's constantly thinking about how to help farmer better manage their risks, and to that end has developed a multi-peril insurance product that we believe can revolutionise the financial protection of farmers across Australia.
Mike Goodall – Director
Mike has over 30 years’ experience in financial services, both in Australia and, more recently, Asia. He has led national adviser teams for global financial institutions across life and general insurance, superannuation/pension funds and managed funds. Mike has also founded and operated his own small business which, combined with his experience as a professional manager of distribution teams, has given him a high level of empathy for customers, and created a passion for providing high-quality, ethical and professional financial advice to consumers.
Chek Khing Huon – Director
Chek has spent the past 20 years working for mutual insurers and financial institutions. Chek has a particular focus on financial and investment management and he is committed to working in the best interests of farmers.
